Stuffed Cabbages

  1. Prepare the Tomato Sauce:
    • In a separate bowl, mix together crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. This is your tomato sauce.
  2. Layer in the Pot:
    • Spread a thin layer of the tomato sauce on the bottom of a large pot. Arrange the stuffed cabbage rolls in layers, seam side down. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top.
  3. Cook:
    • Cover the pot and simmer over low to medium heat for about 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the cabbage to cook thoroughly.
  4. Serve:
    • Once the cabbage rolls are cooked through, serve them hot. They are delicious on their own or with a side of mashed potatoes.
