Spinach Quiche Recipe

Ingredients:
For the Crust (Optional):
1 (9-inch) store-bought pie crust (or homemade pie dough)
Flour , for dusting
For the Filling:
1 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
1 small onion , finely chopped
2 cloves garlic , minced
6 cups fresh spinach (or frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
4 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional, but adds depth)
1 cup shredded cheese (such as Swiss, cheddar, or Gruyère)
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) .
If using a store-bought or homemade pie crust, press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent puffing.
Line the crust with parchment paper and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Blind bake for 10 minutes , then remove the weights and parchment paper. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside.
