Red Velvet Cake recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
11/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup Duke’s Mayonnaise
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 oz. red food color
2 cups flour
11/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa and 1 tsp. salt
Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 cups confectioner’s sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease and flour two 9″ round cake pans and set aside.
Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar and eggs until blended.
