Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into small rounds or any desired shape. You can also roll the dough into long strips to make breadsticks if you prefer.
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Leave some space between each piece to allow them to rise.
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for about 5 minutes. During this time, the dough will slightly rise and become more puffy.
Steaming the Bread
While the dough is resting, prepare a large pot with a steamer basket or a heatproof rack placed at the bottom. Add water to the pot, making sure it doesn’t touch the steamer basket or rack.
Once the dough has rested, carefully transfer it to the steamer basket or rack in the pot. Cover the pot with a lid to trap the steam and create a moist environment for the bread to bake.
Steam the bread for about 10 minutes over medium heat. The steam will help the bread cook and rise, resulting in a soft and fluffy texture.
