Making baked potatoes

How to bake potatoes:

Things used:
Potatoes (any kind that can be baked, like russets)

Salt
You can add butter, sour cream, sliced cheese, chopped chives, bacon bits, or anything else you like.
How to Do It:
Warm the oven up to 425°F (220°C).
To get rid of any dirt or other things on the potatoes, wash them well under cold water. Use a clean kitchen towel to dry them off.
Poke a few holes all the way around each potato with a fork. This lets the steam escape while they bake.
Put a little olive oil on each potato and rub it in. This makes the skin crispier while it’s baking.
Spread a lot of salt over each potato so that it’s covered all over.
You can put the potatoes right on the oven rack or on a baking sheet that has been lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
It will depend on the size of the potatoes how long you bake them for. Their skin should be crispy and the meat should be easy to cut with a fork.
Before taking the potatoes out of the oven, make sure they are safe. They will be very hot when you first touch them, so wait a few minutes.
