I call this ‘Lazy Night Pasta,’ because it only takes 3 ingredients and the family thinks I spent hours making it!

In the heart of the Midwest, where the fields stretch wide and the air carries the scent of freshly turned earth, we find comfort in simplicity. This 3-ingredient spaghetti bolognese is a nod to those days when my grandmother would whip up something delicious with whatever she had on hand. It’s a humble dish, yet rich with flavor, perfect for those busy days when you want something hearty and satisfying without the fuss. The slow cooker does all the work, letting the flavors meld together as you go about your day.
This spaghetti bolognese pairs beautifully with a simple green salad, dressed with a light vinaigrette to cut through the richness of the sauce. A slice of crusty bread or a warm garlic roll is perfect for sopping up every last bit of the sauce. And if you’re feeling indulgent, a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top will add a lovely touch.
