Hearty Ground Beef & Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes

1. Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.

2. Make the Gravy
Push the beef to one side, melt butter in the skillet, then whisk in flour to form a roux (1 min).

Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-5 mins until thickened.

3. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (~15 mins). Drain.

Mash with milk, butter, sour cream, and salt until smooth.
