2 cups of boiled potatoes, mashed
1 large egg

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
If starting with whole boiled potatoes, peel them if desired and mash thoroughly until there are no lumps. For this recipe, using slightly cooled potatoes works best as they are easier to handle.
