3. Assemble the Dish
Place the 4 chicken breasts in the greased baking dish in a single layer.
Sprinkle the chicken with 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt to enhance the flavor.
Pour about ¾ of the soup mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
Arrange the thawed broccoli florets evenly over the chicken breasts.
4. Create the Topping
In a small bowl, combine:
1 1/2 cups of crushed Ritz crackers
4 tablespoons melted butter
Stir until the cracker crumbs are evenly coated. Sprinkle the buttered cracker crumbs over the broccoli layer in the baking dish.
5. Bake the Chicken
Drizzle the remaining ¼ of the soup mixture over the cracker topping for added creaminess.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Tip: Check for doneness by cutting into the thickest part of a chicken breast—it should be white, juicy, and uniform in color.
