Ingredients
For the Flatbreads:
350g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
60ml oil (olive oil or vegetable oil)
120ml water
For Painting:
Pressed garlic
Olive oil or melted butter
Fresh herbs of your choice (such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to combine.
Add the oil and water to the dry ingredients, then knead everything together until a smooth dough forms. You may need to adjust the amount of water slightly to achieve the right consistency.
Once the dough is smooth and elastic, cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
2. Shape the Flatbreads
After the dough has rested, divide it into small, evenly sized pieces. Roll each piece into a ball between your palms.
On a lightly floured surface, flatten each ball of dough into a thin round disc, about 1/4 inch thick. You can use a rolling pin to help you achieve an even thickness.
