3 Ways to Tell if an Egg is Fresh or Bad

When eggs go bad, they start to smell really bad and are not safe to eat. It’s hard to tell when they are no longer safe to eat. The expiration date is definitely an important indication.

1 – A SIMPLE WAY TO CHECK IF AN EGG IS FRESH

This technique is a traditional one and only needs a nose that can smell scents. It won’t work if your nose is blocked. Sniff the egg to check for the typical bad smell of rotten eggs. If you don’t feel anything, then there is no danger. It’s edible!

If you are unsure, crack the egg open onto a plate or in a bowl and smell it. If you can’t smell anything, that’s fine. If not, discard it.

2 – WE DEPEND ON SOUND
Place an egg next to your ear, shake it, and listen closely. If there is no sound, everything is okay. You can enjoy a boiled egg, fried egg, poached egg, or scrambled egg without worrying about your health! If instead you hear a liquid moving sound, that’s not good. It’s best not to eat it. The amount used is definitely more than recommended, no matter what the label says about the best way to use it.
